Molly SchouweilerChugach Children’s Forest Kayak Expedition 2014 was produced by Molly Schouweiler and entered in the 2014 AOOS Short Film Contest. In the film, three high school students share about their experiences participating in a Youth Stewardship Expedition (a Chugach Children’s Forest program). Students traveled via sea kayak and camped in Prince William Sound to do volunteer work projects, which included removing invasive dandelions from the Nellie-Juan College Fjord Wilderness Study Area.

Molly joined Alaska Geographic and the Chugach Children’s Forest in 2013 to help document and lead the habitat restoration kayaking expeditions throughout Prince William Sound. She has worked with youth in Alaska from Ambler to Tatitlek teaching Nordic skiing and sea kayaking and enjoys sharing Alaskan youth stories through photography and film. She graduated with a degree in Outdoor Studies and Environmental Science from Alaska Pacific University.
