The National Research Council (NRC) recently released a new report titled “Seasonal-to-Decadal Predictions of Arctic Sea Ice: Challenges and Strategies”. The report explores major challenges in sea ice prediction and identifies methods, observations, and technologies that might advance capabilities to predict the extent of sea ice over seasonal to decadal timescales.
