In this article, the Consortium for Ocean Leadership calls on Congress and the President to act immediately to improve disaster readiness, invest in research and make wise investments in the US Arctic/Alaska region.
Bob Gagosian says, “I am optimistic that this message is reaching Congress and the Administration and that they will work together to address the issues outlined in the op-ed piece. Maybe this is one area where they can actually agree on appropriate and timely action.”
There may be little “working together” or agreement in Washington, DC, these days – but as soon as the Federal Government returns to work, we hope and urge them to find common ground in Alaska.
