AOOS Response to COVID-19

this is the covid

Dear AOOS friends and colleagues:

We hope all of you are staying healthy and safe during these challenging times.  We wanted to let you know how AOOS is responding. Our office in Anchorage is closed, with all staff now working from home.  We are trying to keep regular hours, but that is dependent on our individual family situations.  We are best reached via email and/or cell phones. We are meeting with each other regularly and with our data team at Axiom Data Science via zoom and google hangouts. We are also meeting regularly with our Alaska and national colleagues, especially in discussing how to ensure our observing assets stay in the water providing valuable information to Alaskans. We will keep you posted as the situation for seasonal deployments (e.g., high frequency radars, AIS weather stations, ship surveys and research cruises, glider surveys, etc.) develops.  We are all in this together, and the ocean observing community joins you in efforts to help flatten the curve!

With warm regards,

Molly McCammon
AOOS Executive Director
