We are pleased to share a new report, “Bering Science: Spring 2020 Bering Region Ocean Update.” This report was developed by a team facilitated by a partnership between AOOS and the University of Alaska Fairbanks International Arctic Research Center (IARC).
Funding was given to AOOS from a national initiative to increase sharing of ocean and coastal data. AOOS is focusing on the Bering Sea region for the initial phase of this project. More information about the project can be found at www.beringregionoceandata.org
The team worked with agency and university scientists from across the region to compile results of research done primarily in 2019 in the northern Bering Sea, with some information about the southern and eastern Bering and the southern Chukchi.
