Title: “Updated Precipitation Frequency Atlas for Alaska”

NOAA’s National Weather Service Office of Hydrologic Development and University of Alaska Fairbanks, Water and Environmental Research Center are updating precipitation frequency estimates for the state of Alaska. Precipitation frequency estimates are used by hydrologists, engineers and others when designing infrastructure built to cope with runoff. The new estimates in an electronic format, which will replace estimates published in early 1960s, will be published in NOAA Atlas 14 Volume 7 and will be available through NOAA’s Precipitation Frequency Data Server (http://hdsc.nws.noaa.gov/hdsc/
