Sound management of the rich, diverse resources in southwest Alaska is dependent on objective scientific information. This symposium goes beyond park boundaries to bring together scientists, resource managers, and interpreters from diverse disciplines to share new information related to research and monitoring efforts in the region.  Focus areas include history, ethnography, and archaeology; emerging management issues; freshwater ecosystems; marine ecosystems; wildlife; and physical science, climate, and vegetation. The symposium will also include updates from key management entities in the region.
