A sever winter storm with high winds and storm surge impacted western Alaska in mid November. Modeled winds and waves from the storm can be viewed through the AOOS data portal.
Cook Inlet Buoy Takes a Swim
A wave buoy sponsored by AOOS and its partners came loose last week from its tether in Cook Inlet. Thanks to support from the Kachemak Bay Research Reserve, the buoy has been retrieved.
